As this is the year of celebrating Windrush and what it means to and for us as Black Britons, I thought I would have a bit of a throwback moment and re-read a book that I first read over 20 years ago or so.
A heartwarming tale about five strangers who meet and become unlikely allies to try to survive life in Lagos.
This is my ThrowbackThursday post from 2009 when I was just testing the blogging waters to see how I would get on. Anyway, I thought I would share it again as Like Water For Chocolate (Como agua para chocolate) is really good and worth reading again. If you like books by Gabriel García Márquez or Isabel Allende, then I think you will definitely enjoy this.
